Combining files in the order you want
Drop several PDFs, drag them into order, merge, download one file. Pages stay as they were — same text layer, same images — and links and form fields on each page come along. One limit: document-level bookmarks (the outline) are usually not carried across when files are joined, so a merged set of manuals will not have a combined table of contents.
Large files and many files
Because merging runs in your browser, how much it can take on depends on your device rather than on a website’s quota. We do not quote a maximum — what we can say is what was observed: on one desktop machine in August 2026, a 500-page, 99.6 MB document and a 300-page, 119 MB scan merged into valid PDFs. A phone will manage less; if a merge stalls, combine in two steps.
Encrypted files, mixed page sizes, and scans
A password-protected PDF is flagged rather than silently skipped: unlock it first (you need the password), then add the unlocked copy. Different page sizes merge as they are — an A4 letter followed by a landscape spreadsheet page is exactly that; use Resize PDF afterwards if you need uniform pages. Scans merge like any other PDF; run Compress PDF on the result if it must go by email.
