These terms cover your use of UnboundPDF, the free in-browser PDF tools at unboundpdf.com. By using the tools you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the tools.
The tools are free
Every tool on UnboundPDF is free to use. There is no paywall, no hourly limit, no watermark on your output, and no account to create. We may add, change, or remove tools over time.
You are responsible for your documents
You are responsible for the files you process and for having the right to process them. Use UnboundPDF only on documents you own or are otherwise permitted to open, edit, convert, sign, or modify. Do not use the tools to infringe anyone's copyright or other rights, to handle material you are not authorized to access, or for anything unlawful.
Because your files never leave your device (see the Privacy page), we have no ability to see, review, moderate, or recover them — that responsibility rests entirely with you. Keep your own backups. Some operations, such as compression, flattening, or redaction, permanently alter a document, and there is no "undo" once you have saved over your original.
Provided "as is", with no warranty
UnboundPDF is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied — including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
PDF is a complex, decades-old format, and real-world files vary enormously. We do not warrant that every file will be supported, that every malformed or unusual document will open or convert correctly, that a tool will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that a result will be accurate for your purpose. OCR, conversion between formats, and repair of damaged files are best-effort and can be imperfect. Always check the output before you rely on it.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, UnboundPDF and its maker will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, documents, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the tools — even if a problem was foreseeable. You use the tools at your own risk, on your own files, on your own device.
Acceptable use
Please do not try to break, overload, or misuse the site — for example by attempting to disrupt it, probing it for vulnerabilities without permission, misrepresenting it as your own, or using it in a way that harms others. The open-source libraries that power the tools carry their own licences, listed on the Licences page; your use of those components is subject to those licences.
Not affiliated with Adobe
UnboundPDF is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Adobe. "PDF" refers to the Portable Document Format, an open standard published as ISO 32000. "Adobe" and other product names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used here only to describe compatibility.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the tools after a change means you accept the updated terms. The "last updated" date above shows when they last changed.
