How close is the PDF to the Word document?
Close: page size, margins, pictures, tables, text boxes, headers and footers with recalculated page numbers, bookmarks and links are all rebuilt from the .docx, and the page count matched Word's own export on our test documents. Features Word renders from its own engine — SmartArt, equations drawn as objects, tracked-changes markup — come across as their saved appearance. Documents set in Calibri or Cambria are drawn in metric-compatible substitutes, so line breaks — and with them the page count — can differ from Word.
Does it support old .doc files?
No. Only the modern .docx format (Word 2007 and later) is supported; legacy .doc files will not load.
Is this a full converter?
