Remove Blank Pages measures how much ink is on every page of a scan — the share of the page, inside a margin-inset region, that is darker than that page's own paper — and lists the ones at or below the threshold with their measured percentage next to a thumbnail. Nothing is removed until you confirm: only pages at or below half the threshold are ticked for you, and a page above that is flagged and left unticked because a faint mark, a stamp or a signature line measures low too. The pages that stay are copied rather than re-encoded.

How to remove blank pages
- Drop the PDF in. Every page is rendered small on your device and its ink coverage measured inside a margin-inset region, so a scanner's edge shadow is not counted as content.
- Read the list: each flagged page is a thumbnail with its measured percentage beside it.
- Check the ticks. Only pages at or below half the threshold are ticked for you; a page above that is flagged and left unticked, because a faint mark measures low too. Move the threshold and the list re-flags live.
- Press the button to drop the ticked pages and download the result — the pages that stay are copied, not re-encoded.
Good to know: Every flagged page is shown with its measured ink percentage and removed only after you confirm.

Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. UnboundPDF processes PDFs locally in the browser — documents are not uploaded to a server. We have no backend that receives, stores, or scans your files.
What counts as blank?
A measurement, not a judgement. The tool renders each page, reads that page's own paper level, and counts the pixels darker than it inside a region inset from every edge. The result is a percentage, and it is printed next to every page it flags.
Why is a page flagged but not ticked?
Because it measured above half the threshold. Something is on it — a signature line, a stamp, a page number, a stray mark — and the tool cannot tell which of those matters to you. It shows you the page and the number and waits.
Can it delete a page I needed?
Only if you tick it. Every page that is removed is one you confirmed after seeing its thumbnail and its measurement; there is no automatic pass, and the result names the positions that were removed.
Why measure inside a margin rather than the whole page?
Because scanners put a dark edge, the rim of the platen, or the shadow of the facing sheet along the borders. Measured raw, a genuinely empty back page reads as several percent ink and would never be flagged. The inset is 6% of the width and height from every edge, and the percentage you see is the share of that region.
Does removing pages change the ones that stay?
No. The surviving pages are copied into the new file, so their text, images and quality are exactly as they were — nothing is re-compressed.
