- Untick any sheet you do not want. Each one shows its row and column count, and a sheet hidden in Excel is labelled as hidden rather than dropped for you.

Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. UnboundPDF processes PDFs locally in the browser — documents are not uploaded to a server. We have no backend that receives, stores, or scans your files.
Are my formulas recalculated?
No. Every cell prints the value the workbook already stores — the value Excel wrote when it last recalculated. Nothing is computed on this device, so a workbook that was saved with out-of-date results will print those results. If a number looks wrong, reopen the file in a spreadsheet program, let it recalculate, save, and convert again.
Do charts and pictures come through?
No. This converter puts cell values on a page, so what you get is the grid, not the workbook's appearance: charts, pictures, shapes, conditional formatting, cell colours and fonts, and merged-cell spans are not drawn. They are counted, and the result tells you how many of each your file contains, so you can see what was left out instead of guessing.
What about a long sheet that does not fit on one page?
It breaks at a row boundary, never through the middle of a row, and if you have said the first row is a header it is repeated at the top of every page the sheet continues onto. The result says how many continuation pages got a repeated header.
Can it open an old .xls file?
No, and it says so rather than failing quietly. The legacy binary format from Excel 97-2003 is a different file format entirely. Open it in Excel, LibreOffice or Numbers and use Save as to write an .xlsx, then bring that file back.
Are dates printed as dates?
Yes, where the workbook says a cell is a date. A spreadsheet stores a date as a number, and only the cell's number format makes it a date; that format is read and the cell is written as an ISO date such as 2024-03-15. The specific display format the workbook asked for — d-mmm-yy, mm/dd/yyyy — is not reproduced.
Is my workbook uploaded?
No. It is read in the page on your own device with the browser's own decompression, converted there, and downloaded back to you. There is no upload step and no server that receives it.
