Excel to PDF turns an .xlsx into paginated PDF pages in your browser — one section per sheet, header rows repeated on continuation pages, orientation chosen by column count. Cells print the values the workbook already stores; formulas are not recalculated, and charts, pictures and conditional formatting are not drawn — the result counts what it skipped.

The honest contract
A spreadsheet is a calculator wearing a table costume; a PDF is paper. This tool prints the stored cell values in a clean table layout — wide sheets go landscape, header rows repeat across pages, empty columns keep their place — and deliberately does not recalculate formulas or draw charts, images and conditional-formatting colour. It counts what it skipped so you know.
When this is the right tool
Price lists, transaction exports, inventory sheets — anything a recipient should read rather than edit. A workbook whose soul is its charts should be exported from Excel itself; the boundary is stated here rather than discovered later. Sizes: the layout stops at 20,000 rows and 256 columns per sheet, and says so. Dates print in ISO form rather than each cell's display format.
After the conversion
The sheet usually travels with documents: merge it behind a cover letter, number the packet, compress for the inbox. The reverse trip — a PDF table back into typed cells — is PDF to Excel.

Why does a cell show an old result?
Formulas print the values the workbook last stored — nothing is recalculated on your device. Re-save the workbook after editing, then convert.
Where are my charts?
