Marking a document before it circulates

Prices move and terms get revised, so a quote that escapes as “final” when it was not is a real cost. Customer documents you have to keep

Signed orders and delivery notes come back as scans, and a scan is a picture of paper until it is recognised: OCR runs Tesseract in your browser and lays an invisible text layer over the pages, after which you can find a customer by name instead of opening twenty files. The OCR guide covers getting a good result — scan at 300 DPI or better, keep pages straight, and expect a scan to behave like a scan. For records that must survive a change of accounting software, PDF/A writes archival metadata and document identifiers into the file without re-rendering the pages, with the caveats below. PDF/A output is PDF/A-2b, checked against our published PDF/A-2b rule list on your device before it claims conformance; DeviceCMYK artwork is reported rather than converted. The signature is a drawn image, not a PKCS #7 certificate signature. CSV table detection reads text positions and is worth checking in the spreadsheet. Prove it before you trust it with customer data

The claim worth checking is that the documents stay on your machine.
